Alarms and Special Hazards (ASH)
As a life safety system, the primary function of a Fire Detection and Alarm system is for notification and evacuation of personnel. A Fire Detection system can add the secondary benefit of providing a much earlier warning of a fire when compared to buildings protected exclusively by a sprinkler system.
FLSA sells, installs, services and monitors fire alarm and detection systems, clean agent fire suppression systems, and other special hazard suppression systems. Our fire protection systems protect lives and property in a variety of facilities including, but not limited to, military installations, food processing and storage facilities, plywood and paper mills, hospitals, residential complexes, railroad transportation systems and even the new National Audio Visual Conservation Center in northern Virginia.
FLSA uses state of the art suppression and detection systems to meet your life safety needs. Our product line includes Ansul, Chemetron, FIKE, Gamewell/FCI, ProtectoWire, Vesda Air Sampling, Spectrex Flame Detection and other manufacturers as specifically required.
Our alarms and special hazards division is led by Robert Myers. Robert has over 18 years of experience in the industry. He is a NICET IV in fire alarm systems and a NICET III in special hazards. He is a principal member of the NFPA Technical Committee on Public Fire Reporting Systems. Robert is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA), and the Fire Suppression Systems Association (FSSA).
ASH is supported at each location by managers with over 100 years combined experience. Our installation and design team is made up of factory trained, NICET certified, technicians. We install our ASH systems meeting UL certification guidelines for fire alarm systems and ISO 9001:2008 quality standards. Over FLSA’s 12 year history, we have designed and installed over 1,500 alarms/special hazard systems.
