East Coast Fire Protection, Inc change its name to Fire and Life Safety America
RICHMOND – East Coast Fire Protection, Inc has announced it is changing its name to Fire and Life Safety America.
James Toups, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fire and Life Safety America had this to say, "We are very excited to announce our name change. Our primary strategy day to day remains focused on the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Southwest United States. There is enormous potential for growth in all of these areas. But we will service our customers, even if they ask us to reach outside our normal footprint. "
"So, as our company has expanded away from the east coast, it has become more important to have one unifying name that could be used across our whole footprint."
"The new name is broader in terms of coverage area and focuses on both fire and life safety. The company has a lot of brand awareness with the ECFP, Affordable, Fire Watch and Texas Southwest, Southeast and Universal Sprinkler names. These names won't go away but, instead, will be co-branded with the Fire and Life Safety America name and logo. It's important that we not lose our sense of history and where we came from."
The name change process is just getting started and will be completed by September 2010. The combined Fire and Life Safety America family has approximately 1,800 employees across 14 locations in 6 states.
